(More customer reviews)I really like this product.It is nice leather and a good value for the leather.The only complaint is that it would have been nice to have just a little extra room for cable, etc.My computer fits great and it is nice that it is in a sleeve of it's own.I can also fit in a couple of magazines and files, but then there is not much room for power supplies, etc.I would highly recommend it for anyone who doesn't need to have to carry too many documents or extra supplies.

Graco MetroLite Stroller Review

(More customer reviews)I'm going to start off on the color b/c if it weren't for someone elses review I would have thought I was getting a brown and pinkish colored stroller.I don't think any description I read in regards to this stroller told the colors.
Either way, Pink is NOT the case. The fabric colors are dark brown, cream & a lighter burnt orange. The pattern on the fabric (the seat part) are giraffes. My husband and I love the color & the designs we are excited its not another pink thing to add to the other pink stuff we have for our daughter. Its unique & a bit vintage looking.
I really wanted a Graco full size stroller & would have bought one if they had one with fabric I liked and weren't all travel systems, we already had a car seat. I went back and forth between this one & some others that were actually higher priced & had better reviews & less features. I came back to Graco b/c I have had a stroller from them in the past & this stroller had everything I wanted. There is a great info video on youtube in regards to the metrolite stroller. That video was basically what made me finally decide on this stroller. I read a lot of complaints in regards to pushing/steering this stroller. My husband said it best by saying you have to push it like a lawn mower. So if that is a down fall it's the only one in my opinion.
This stroller is affordable, light weight, stylish & has all of the great features you would get with a regular sized stroller, such as cup holder, storage compartment, adjustable handles, full reclining seat for infant/newborn, large basket good for shopping bags or diaper bag & it folds up nicely (there are more features than these, this is just some of them). I think that your getting more than your paying for, I have found strollers with far less features, priced for much more money & I am so happy that I choose this one!

GRACO NEEDS TO MAKE IT SO YOU CAN GET ALL FULL SIZED STROLLERS IN ANY DESIGN OF FABRIC. HUNTING THROUGH ALL OF THEIR DIFFERENT PRODUCTS SOLD THROUGH DIFFERENT SELLERS WAS RIDICULOUS!!!

Today's Mom Allendale Glider and Ottoman Review

Once my husband began to put it together, we realized it had a few parts missing (metal insert that holds part of the back of the chair to the seat).My husband had to rig something up to be 100% sure the chair back would be secure.Then we realized the cushions had dirty hand/finger prints all over them.I believe the chair was new when we bought it and assume the nasty hand prints came from packaging.This isn't what I'd expect from a new product that is a piece of furniture and on display in your home.Also, when we found the product on Amazon.com it had shown pictures of both a natural wood color and a cherry wood color.We wanted the cherry wood but no where during the ordering process did it allow us to choose the wood color and we ended up being shipped the natural wood.

Put together, the chair seems to function just fine.It was unfortunate that the gliders were an item that was NOT returnable to Today's Mom, especially after the poor condition we received the product in.I would have much rather spent the extra money on buying a glider at a local store and received a good product in new condition.But since I can't get my money back I'll make what I have work.Lesson learned I guess.Hopefully others won't end up disappointed.

Artur Rubinstein (1887-1982) recorded 51 Chopin Mazurkas three times: first time in 1938/39 for EMI London, currently available of BMG vol. 6, second time in 1952/53 for RCA available on BMG vol. 27, and the third time in 1965/66 in stereo for RCA, available on BMG vol. 50.Each of the three times, they were the best, and they remain unsurpassed until now. Between 1960 and the present, more than 21 different pianists recorded 51 plus mazurkas. Among those 21 or more recordings ten can be rated as excellent performances with profound understanding and feeling of the Polish folk dances, which the genius of Fryderyk Chopin elevated to the highest form of art. The remaining recordings I have rated as varying from excellent, good to uneven performances.
The first group of ten outstanding recordings of the 51 Mazurkas or otherwise noted, all very highly recommended I will list according to their approximate date of release.

Chopin edition
2) Ryszard Bakst - 1960, Westminster
3) Alexander Brailowsky - 1963, Columbia Masterworks and on CD Sony Music SBK 632, 1997

5) Nikita Magaloff - 1979, Philips, 57 Mazurkas - currently available only as an import
6) Yakov Fliere - 1979 (approx.) Russian Melodya
7) Eugen Indjic - 1988 Claves, 57 Mazurkas - Mr. Indjic, a younger colleague of mine, who studied with Alexander Borovsky at the same time as I between 1959 and 1964.
8) Jan Ekier - 1990, Polish Muza, 55 Mazurkas
9) Halina Czerny-Stefanska - 1994, Canyon, 57 Mazurkas
10)Fou Ts'ong - 1993, Sony Music, 57 Mazurkas, currently available on Sony Music SBK2 53246
There continues to be a certain belief and tradition that Chopin's music (particularly the Polonaises and Mazurkas) are most profoundly performed by Slavic pianists. Whether this is true is difficult to prove because there are always exceptions.Some French pianists, particularly Alfred Cortot (1877-1962) and German pianists, Wilhelm Backhaus (1884-1969) and Wilhelm Kempff (1895-1991) left us several very beautiful Chopin recordings included among them some Mazurkas. The same applies to the Italian pianist, Arturo Benedetti Michaelangeli (1920-1995) and others.
There are several recordings by pianists who performed only selected Mazurkas such as:
1) Vladimir Horovitz (1903-1989) 15 Mazurkas for RCA Victor, later Columbia
Masterworks at various times, all available on BMG and Sony Music; all played very beautifully, belonging to the great recordings of the 20th century
2) Witold Malcuzynski (1914-1977) 16 Mazurkas recorded for EMI Classics and
Polish Muza; equally distinguished and beautiful.
3) William Kapell (1922-1953) 29 Mazurkas for RCA Victor, played very
Beautifully and available on BMG Classics. Mr. Kapell was a very promising young American pianist whose career was cut short by his death in an airplane crash.
4) Milosz Magin (Polish pianist) 41 Mazurkas recorded for Decca in the 1970s
5) Fou Ts'ong (Chinese pianist) 18 Mazurkas, Westminster, 1960s, recorded before his complete set
6) Guiomar Novaes (Brazilian pianist) several Mazurkas, Vox label, 1950s
The last three above-mentioned recordings are very impressive.
Finally, we are going to discuss Garrick Ohlsson, who has recorded a complete Chopin edition. His recording of the Mazurkas, which are a part of this edition, are unfortunately not as impressive as I had hoped. Nevertheless, several of them are very beautifully played, with a profound understanding of the Polish folk dance form. Therefore, they belong to the above list of distinguished recordings.
After Artur Rubinstein's recordings of the Mazurkas, the Alexander Brailowsky set is the best of all the currently available versions. Mr. Brailowsky security of technique, wonderfully sonorous tone and clarity (a mark of a great artist) really do command attention. His ability to feel the music from various Polish regions is beautifully realized in his rendition of all the Mazurkas, recreating their specially varying moods, sometimes happy, other times melancholic or nostalgic, but always very beautiful. This about sums it all up for me.
The three juvenile Polonaises are played to perfection. You won't find similar performances no matter where you look. Superlatives! Unfortunately, the D minor Polonaise, Op. 71, No. 1 is abridged by Sony Music without any explanation as to why!
This spoils a great performance by Alexander Brailowsky. The two songs transcribed for piano by Franz Liszt are just played superbly. A "must-have" recording; simply brilliant!

GoGo Babyz Urban Advantage Stroller Review

(More customer reviews)I am a baby gear obsessed Mama. I have owned over 30 strollers in the past 3 years and have tried all of the high end brands. I recently found myself in need of a single stroller for my 3 year old who
gets too tired on our long walks to/from school. I didn't want to break the bank (again!) so I looked into options at a reasonable price point. The Urban Advantage stroller fills all my needs and
expectations and is priced right!! There are a few main things I look for in a stroller; Push, features/accessories, sun protection, seat, and fold.

Push: This stroller has a great push! Wonderful indoors and out. It rides like air tires w/out having to worry about flat tires. Our everyday use takes us over sidewalks, gravel, and sometimes
grassy areas. It handles them all well.It is also compact enough for indoor use. We recently took it to the Mall and it fit through aisles and racks easily. The stroller pushes well even w/ heavier
childen in it which is a great test!

Features/Accessories: The Urban Advantage comes with all the accessories you will need. Child snack tray and parent console which are both removable. Plenty of storage in the roomy (and easy to access) basket means you have room to bring everything you need. I keep all of my items (keys, cell, water) in the console and can use the basket for kids' backpacks, toys, or a picnic lunch. There are even pockets in the back of the canopy for '
additional storage. There's nothing worse than spending hundreds of dollars on a stroller and having the company nickel and dime you on the accessories! $25 extra if I want to bring a drink of water with me?? No thanks!! The best feature of the UA is the innovative kickstand which comes down when you apply the brake. This makes the typically wobbly 3 wheel design much more stable! We all know kids love to climb in by themselves and the kickstand (and large footplate) makes it easier and safe!

Sun Protection: The canopy on the UA is average size. The additional little flip out portion is handy for keeping sun out of little eyes. The canopy is not as roomy as some but average and more than enough coverage for my use. You can purchase additional UV/bug shield and raincover if that suits your needs/use/weather. There is a peekaboo window in the canopy.

Seat: The seat is fairly roomy, both my 3YO and 6YO fit under the canopy though the 6YO isn't as comfy as he would like. The seat has several positions including recline enough for a baby or napping child and a straight
upright position. Some seats (especially sling types) never sit fully upright and this drives my son crazy. The footrest is also HUGE so makes it ultra roomy and comfy for taller kids.

FOld: The fold on the UA is super easy and compact. Very easy to do while keeping an eye on kids in a parking lot. All in all the Urban Advantage stroller is a great do it all stroller at a great price point.

Baby Jogger City Micro Single Stroller Review

(More customer reviews)We bought the City Micro so that we didn't have to take our over-sized Bob on a trip to Europe.Had high hopes, as the original Citi Mini was a close contender in the first stroller purchase (when we still had aspirations of not becoming a 3-stroller family).In so many ways this is an awesome little stroller, and a great complement to the Bob, but there are a few oversights that means it comes up short of perfect.

The good: brilliant one-handed easy folding and easier handling when folded than traditional umbrella strollers; easy steering; seems to be comfy for the babe; and as far as I can tell completely removable fabric that can be washed (but don't quoteme on that).

The bad: the base bar that is perfectly positioned to be kicked when you walk too close, i.e, with arms bent comfortably (this from the makers of the original jogger stroller! If I'd been able to really test run the Micro in the wild, this probably would have been a deal breaker); at 16lbs, is not exactly lightweight; insufficient sun shade (why, why?? I don't get this -it's a real need, and a common complaint of many strollers); a handle that is perfectly positioned for my tall husband, but too high for me, a short woman (5'1").

Admittedly I was wooed by the groovy apple green color and its overall good looks.And in many ways this stroller really rocks. Just not so much for me.So this will do for our trip, but I expect to sell it on Craig's list when we get back.Too bad ... it was really close.

Teamson Princess Play Castle Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased this for our daugher (3 1/2) for Christmas because she loves princesses and we wanted a castle and not a dollhouse. We loved how easy it was to assemble - less than 1/2 and hour! We also loved that it was so open which allowed her easy access to play with it and move people around. One unexpected nice quality is that the pieces store nicely in the top two sections where the flags go. The swivel base makes it easy for her to play with it any which way, and she likes that she can sit in the corner and turn the castle around and her brother doesn't bother her.It is beautifully constructed and painted - the figurines and furniture are very nice!We originally didn't receive the furnture but once manufacturer was contacted they sent out right away.

We were disappointed that the measurements for the size of the castle.That quotes given on the "bio" for the product are not accurate at all! We measured from the tips of the flag to the base of the playset and they were almost a foot less than quoted, the length and width were also off so much that we called the company thinking we had received the wrong castle! We also thought we had maybe received the wrong castle because in one of the pictures it shows what looks like a three level castle- two stairways and a bedroom set in the top level the castle does not come with two stairways or a bedroom set. Our daughter obviously doesn't care about this but for the price we were disappointed about it.

(More customer reviews)What an expensive item for a doll that doesn't work well.I began the process of training my daughter with this doll.The first time I used the doll it wasn't bad, we gave it the two bottles of water which are recommended and out her in the potty.In order to get her to pee you need to squeeze her thighs (which of course my daughter noticed and now does it to other people.They shlould have some kind of bulb that you can squeeze that is in the back of her.Every other time we used the doll, she kept peeing ALL over me when we would feed her the bottles (even from the first bottle). Therefore we couldn't get 2 bottles of water in her and when we would try and put her on the potty, it was mostly air with a little water, which is because the doll peed in my lap.She leaks everywhere, even after draining her the best I could, which means she is not helping with the potty training at all.My daughter noticed her lap was all wet from holding the doll, her play couch was all wet from the doll sitting on it. Also the potty that comes with it is very tiny and my dauhter seems uncomfortable (and she is very petite), she likes using her baby bjorn potty chair. The training underwear that come with it are nice because they have more of a protective padding over everyday underwear, but definitely not worth $100 and some dollars. I personally trained my daughter the old fashion way of taking her into the bathroom with me and making a big deal when I went, and then she started grabbing me and saying potty, now she goes everytime in the potty.

(More customer reviews)I love this bag. Its easy to wipe down, I have even spilled milk inside it and clean up was quick. There are SEVERAL pockets. The wipe case does feels cheap but I did not even remember it coming with one when I ordered it. Has a nice padded strap, clips for the stroller, and a clip for your keys. It has everything I could have wanted, including tiny feet on the bottom to keep it from getting dirty when it gets set on the floor. I would recommend this to a first time mom. I have two kids and I wish I would have known about it with my first. I did not pay $119 for it but I think its worth it considering how many bags you will go through to find the right one.
